Quaint little park on the river. This one has quite a variety of items for the whole family. Things to climb on for the kids, volley ball nets, horseshoes, a boat launch, and more. Please replace as found. If any part of the cache malfunctions, please do your best to rehide/fix so it can be found by others that should find it and not by others that should not.
This park is in the village of Port Ewen. From the cache location, you can see the Rondout Lighthouse, and a little further south is the Esopus Meadows Lighthouse, which CDParker1 (original owner of the cache) helped to restore.
I am unsure how 'muggle safe' this cache is, only time will tell, but stealth will be required to obtain this cache, as this is a pretty well used park, and to obtain the cache will place you in view of everyone. This cache was replaced on 3/6/12 with a small container akin to a 35mm film container but about twice that in length. It does include a pencil, but you may want to bring your own pen/pencil to log the cache.
