This is a five stage (and then final) multicache
found on Weyerhauser land across Hwy 507 from MacIntosh Lake.
Each of the five "stages" consist of 1 inch x 3 inch aluminum
tags with a word (or an acronym) stamped on them. Each of
them are nailed to a conifer (at about 5 feet up the tree).
The final is an ammo can filled with the usual SWAG.
What makes this "A Different Kind of
Multi" is that instead of coordinates on the aluminum
tags, words exist. We'll get to that in a moment.

Other than "The Usual", what else
should I bring with me on this hunt?

How in tarnation do I progress
through the stages of this cache given that these aluminum tags
contain words rather than coordinates for the next
stage?
First, let's make up a "Definition of Terms". Well,
just one, actually. Let's make up a term. Let's call it
the "WhizBangSum".
The WhizBangSum= the sum of
adding up all of the numbers from the word on an aluminum tag by
first converting each of the letters to a number where A=1, B=2,
C=3, D=4, E=5, etc.
By example, let's pretend that the word on an aluminum tag is
"EGGPLANT". If that is
the case, then:
The WhizBangSum of
EGGPLANT = 82 (5 +
7 + 7 + 16 + 12 + 1 + 14 +20)
So, there we be. Now we're all in agreement what a
WhizBangSum is!

waypoints. I got EPE's ranging from 18 ft - 40 ft. |
