Geocache Description:

Toby Hi...my name is Toby and this cache is hidden on an unmarked trail in Winnakee which I call the Purple Trail, based on the color of the bison tube container. I like walking on this group of trails with my pack leaders as there are a lot of places to sniff and I find them all! If you see me on the trail, stop and say hello.

This was originally the Colonel's Cache and the first placed after starting geocaching 10 years ago.. It was a typical hide and, quite frankly, boring as evidenced by the lack of favorites. Hopefully the new cache will provide a little more challenge as some of the other Hugger caches provide. Please return the cache to its original position. To prevent the needle in the haystack syndrome, the cache is in plain sight. BYOP.

There are several access points to the Hyde Park Nature Preserve. The best choice is a new lot at the end of Terwilliger Rd. (coordinates below). A kiosk contains information about the trail network.

Bison Tube Tip: Ever try to get a log out of a bison tube when it is jammed in the bottom and a pair of tweezers is not available? Well, roll the log up and place it in the cap of the tube. When you take the cap off, the log comes out with it making for a less frustrating geocaching experience.
