Geocache Description:

I always wondered how Cliffside Park got it’s name. In the process of placing this cache I found out. Now you will too. Cliffside Park is adjoined to Chapla Park to the South. The cache is camoed and blends in well with the environment. Cache contains a log sheet and pencil. Small trade items and TB’s may fit.

Please plan your route carefully and enjoy the view. Bring a camera and snap a few pictures to share with others.

I will say that this is not a cache for vertically challenged people and small children. Small children can wait nearby.

You will be halfway between the top and bottom of Cliffside Park on the Shore of Lake Michigan.

Entry can be gained from the top or bottom.

If you come from the top please take the terrain into consideration. There are many ways down only a few are relatively safe.

If you come from the bottom please plan a route that suits your abilities.

Wet and or snowy/icy conditions will increase the terrain rating significantly.

Not recommended for night caching unless you come from the bottom.

Bushwhacking from the bottom is minimal, if from the top it can be hard going in spots.

After getting the cache continue down the Lake shore to the Northwest for approximately .21 miles and observe a neat ravine and mud/sand pillar.

While in the area be sure to visit the other caches in Cliffside and Chapla parks.
