Just when you least expect it, life becomes a beach, and what better place to least expect a beach, than on the top of a mountain!
I have always loved the surrealism of this mountain beach, and couldn’t resist putting a cache here, so bring along a brolley, beach bats and a bather, and catch some rays! (Not the Steve Erwin kind though)
The quickest access to the cache is via skeleton gorge, which is best accessed from Kirstenbosch. (R27 entrance fee) Dogs are not allowed in Kirstenbosch, but if you tell them at the top gate that you are just going directly up skeleton gorge, they should let the dogs in. (or at least they did a year or 2 ago)
Alternatively, you could come across from Kasteelspoort on Camps Bay side, or Maclears beacon. If you are coming from the Waterworks museum side, you will need to go around the dam towards skeleton gorge to access the cache site.
