There's something new in the neighborhood - a treehouse! That's right! Mt. Airy Forest has a new treehouse, and this treehouse is big! Fifteen hundred sq. ft. (including the boardwalks). This is a universally accessible treehouse for all children, regardless of physical challenges. Also nearby are picnic areas, shelters, playgrounds, and restrooms (which are closed in the winter months).
The trail starts out by going under the treehouse, then continues downhill towards the creek and footbridge. If you come to the creek you went too far. (Assuming you are on the trail) As you stand at the cache site you can look back up the hill and see part of the treehouse (click the photo link below to see the original photos from the original GZ). Please replace the Camo as you found it to keep the cache safe and sound from passers-by.
