The cache is a camouflaged lock and lock container located just off of one of the secondary trails that run through a woodlot at Sir Sanford Fleming College.
Entrance to the college is through the gates at N44 16.024 W078 22.131. There are various parking locations at the college. Parking can also be found across the street at the convenience store. A third parking option is the Wellness centre which is located at N44 16.364 W078 22.351. This requires more of a walk through the baseball fields.
The cache contains pencils, erasers, and various other items that could be used in a post secondary institution.
Depending on which direction you approach the cache, you may be required to cross a small stream. Stealth may be required as the trails are frequented by students.
At the age of 18, armed with little formal training in surveying and engineering, Fleming emigrated to Canada from Kirkcaldy, Scotland. In 1858, as chief engineer of the Northern Railway, he first proposed a railway to the Pacific. Many years later, he played a leading part in its construction.
Fleming designed the "Three-Penny Beaver," Canada’s first adhesive postage stamp, in 1851. He also proposed the present system of standard time, by which the world is divided into 24 equal time zones. It was adopted in 1884.
