The Unser family, long time Albuquerue
residents, have made open wheel racing their life's passion. Their
museum here showcases not only their racecars
and memorabilia but also is designed to be an open window into the
history of open wheel racing.
Their list of accomplishments is long,
from the gravel roads of Pikes Peak, the dirt ovals of USAC, to the
brickyard at Indianapolis.
Take a moment after finding the cache to
visit the museum, the charge is nominal for the opportunity to see
such a well planned display of open wheel history. If you feel
unable to afford the price, at least step inside, Al Unser Sr. is
often greeting visitors. He actually helped me hide the cache and
will be interested to meet you!
Although the cache is hidden outside the
museum it is only accessible during their business hours of
10am-4pm daily.
The cache you are seeking is a paint
cammouflaged tube, you'll need a pencil, there's just no room for
one!
