Geocache Description:

This is accesible by anyone at anytime (daylight)

From the given coordinates proceed eastward until you see the founder of the Campbell Soup Co. (Leroy Campbell) and turn to the south. Proceed until you come to the "tallest of the lot". While standing on the West side of it (facing East) if you look about 15 degrees northward you will see Vanatta ( the name of a town near where I grew up). Walk to
Vanatta then turn and walk due North untill you see the "Petrified Log". Be sure to notice the name. This is the last name of a famous character. Now you must find his first name! You'll find it if you proceed about 85 feet due North.

Aha, Now we know who he is but where did he hide the loot he stole from his employer?

Hmm.... Time for another clue.

It is time for him to walk to work (you had probably want to follow him!). He heads due South until he comes to a spot where he must make an important decision. Being a heavy drinker he is very tempted to veer to his left and have a big Belt of whiskey but instead he does the right thing and turns to the West and proceeds to walk to work. After taking just a few steps he scratches his head and wonders, "Hmmm...have I gone too far?" So, he does a 180 and lo and behold there is the spot where he works. Nice caboose!.

Instead of working he steals the loot and runs due north until he comes to "Old Woody" and ponders if it would be safe if he stashed it here. After a moment of thought he looks around and sees the perfect spot to hide his CACHE. So he proceeded about 45 feet one way or another and hid it real good and there is stays even today!

Thing is, he hid it there on May 9, 1898 !!!

---------------------------------------------

This is a GREAT FIRST TO FIND (FTF).

Contents of the old goat's cache : It is a large size Vitamin Bottle
Caribiner Key Chain
Choo-Choo Key Chain
Computer Adapter
8 Meg Smart Card - Perfectly good shape and usable!
A REAL $ 10.00 Silver Certificate - Fur Shur worth more than face value!

-------------------------------------------------

I hate to give a clue but I will anyway. The encrypted hint is the actual coordinates of the cache - but you shouldn't need the clue. It will be much more fun if you leave the hint at home unencrypted. The coordinates shown at the top of the page are your "Starting Position". Also, it is OK to drive into the area and toward the "tallest of the lot" and
then when you are finished exit out the South Gate.
