A micro on the banks of the Fowey river.
This cache is located on Shirehall Moor, an area of flood meadows just to the south of Lostwithiel. The walk to it takes you along the banks of the River Fowey.
Turn off the A390 at the traffic lights in Lostwithiel. Drive down towards the river, turn right at the Co-op, then pass under a low rail bridge & on to the car parking area in Coulson Park (next to childrens play area). Walk south along the track with the river on your left. The Fowey is still just navigable here on a high tide. To your right is the railway line used to transport china clay down to Fowey docks. After a short walk the track runs out, continue along the path over the meadow, which can get rather muddy at times. After certain weather & tidal conditions this area can flood so the cache won`t always be accessible!
*** This cache was originally a micro, it`s now been replaced with a 50ml screwtop pot.
