A lovely walk in a town-owned and maintained hardwood forest with old carriage roads and nearly 15 miles of groomed trails - ideal for hiking, picnics and cross-country skiing, in Lenox, MA.
Kennedy Park is a beautiful wooded park - especially beautiful in autumn in the Berkshires, but charming any time of the year. The cache is hidden in this multi use area so depending upon the season, expect to see hikers, cross country skiers, folks on snow shoes, mountain bikers, trail riders on horseback, and almost always, families walking dogs. There are several parking places, but we usually park at the Arcadian Shop on Rt.20 and take the trail from their parking lot. The cache is just under 1/2 mile from that spot.
The cache is near one of our favorite places in the park which is a very popular destination for visitors, so watch for muggles! A map of the park showing all the trails is available for free at the Arcadian Shop.
