Markuciu apylinkes traukia lankytojus ypac gražia ir turtinga gamta. Cia yra labai ryškus Vilnios slenio šlaitas, išgraužtas vandens erozijos. Tarp giliu ilgu raguvu - eroziniu lataku - iškyla ilgi liekaniniai gubriai su ryškiomis keteromis, apauge placialapiu, eglynu ir baltalksnynu bendrijomis. Gausu šaltiniu, daugybe ažuolu. Šis gamtos grožis saugomas Markuciu kraštovaizdžio draustinyje. Netoli Markuciu Vilnio upee yra didelis akmuo, nuo 1852 m. igaves Apolinaro varda, mat ant jo megdaves sedeti ir svajoti vienas garsus menininkas. Kiek toleliau, keliaujant palei Vilnios srove, prieš akis atsivers status žvyro ir smelio skardis. Tai trecia pagal aukšti Pavilniu regioninio parko atodanga.

Subaciaus gatves gale, kur Vilnia daro staigu vingi, ant medžiuose skendincios kalvos stovi medinis namas - literaturinis A. Puškino muziejus. Senoveje Markuciuose, istoriniuose šaltiniuose minimuose nuo 16 a., buta dideliu Lietuvos didiesiems kunigaikšciams priklausiusiu mišku. Iki šiol išlike tik senojo ažuolyno liekanos. Markuciuose išlike senojo palivarko pastatai, kurie kadaise priklause ivairiems didikams.

Užsuke i Markucius Jus galesite aplankyti šiuos išlikusius dvaro sodybos objektus: pagrindini gyvenamaji nama, kuriame isikures A.Puškino muziejus, 1955 m. pastatyta jo paminkla, Puškino šeimos kapines, Šv. Varvaros koplycia. Galesite pasivaikšcioti gražiai sutvarkyto parko keliukais, tvenkiniu pakrantemis.

This is nice place to spend weekend afternoon
It's a very attractive and rich piece of nature. There are plenty of springs and oaks. In the preserve the A.Pushkin Museum is located - an old wooden construction erected in 1867. The poet himself never visited this place, but his relatives used to walk throughout these outskirts. In ancient times, Markuciai oak tree forest was the summer place of the Dukes of Lithuania.

The Pushkin Museum was founded in the house of Varvara and Grigori Pushkin in the suburb of Markuciai. The Pushkin Museum consists of the estate house, 18 ha park with ponds, a family mausoleum, St Varvara Chapel and the bust of Pushkin. Six authentically furnished rooms of the end of the 19th century form the exposition. They document the genealogy, times and work of Alexander Pushkin, display some pieces of furniture that have the coat-of-arms of Pushkin’s family carved on them and monograms of Varvara Pushkina. Visitors can also see photographs of Markuciai estate and family photographs of Varvara and Grigori Pushkin, many household equipment and works of art of that time. The exposition also holds 21 books by Alexander Pushkin of 34 of his books published while the poet was still alive. Art, literary, photographic, numismatic, applied art and other exhibitions are regularly held at the Museum.
