Laurel Cemetery was established in 1889 in what is now called Old Town Murrieta on Ivy Street. Some of the early pioneers of this great city have been buried here to include members of the Sykes, Tarwater, Lent and Kean families. Other early settlers include the Sotello family. The Sotello family came to Murrieta in the early 1900’s and were the town's first Latino farmers. Laurel Cemetery is often referred to as Murrieta Cemetery.

If you find a fallen US flag, please stick it back in the ground. As always, please be respectful of our pioneer dead and our beloved Veterans, and cache in, trash out. Say a prayer for our brave troops fighting overseas. God Bless America!
NOTICE: NIGHT CACHING IS NOT ALLOWED. LOGS INDICATING CACHING AFTER DARK WILL BE DELETED.
