About the Cache & Hide
This cache will take you to one of the far corners of the park
and my most favorite area. It is off the paved trail, on the dirt
trail so it is not as visited as the other areas. You are searching
for a decon container with small tradies. A very small pencil was
provided when it was hidden however, bring your own pen/pencil just
to be sure. Be sure to cover the cache COMPLETELY so it is not
accidently discovered.
1/31/07 Current weather update. The trails in Konkel Park are
not plowed. It is possible to park at the rear entrance, the dead
end of S 51st Street that can be reached of Edgerton Ave. This will
put you closer to the cache. Be aware of the wind chill as the
winds can really be strong across this park. The hide is not very
winter friendly.
About the Park
Konkel Park has public restrooms, bubbler (water fountain) and
pay phone during the summer months. There is a new playground on
the south side of the park. And, part of the playground on the
north side is slated for replacement in Spring 2007.
Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the City of Greenfield Parks.
Park hours are sunrise until 10 PM.It is not recommended you
search for this one before/ after those hours as the Police station
is right across the street.
