Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

This is a multicache, placed so you spend a little time at this great, Wisconsin wayside. The initial cache is a microcache. It contains only the coordinates for the secondary cache.
Once you find the initial cache, the cooridinates will allow you to find the much larger second stage. It contains many trade items and a logbook with pens and pencils. This would be an excellent spot for travel bugs.
This wayside rest stop was placed in honor of the Veterans of Wisconsin. The Veterans cemetery across the highway, was dedicated on June 10, 2001. It holds military funerals for Wisconsin veterans. It has a beautiful fountain and chimes that, every 1/2 hour, during certain times of the year, play patriotic music. The rest stop has engraved granite stones that honor the many Washburn County Veterans that have been interned at the cemetery.
Hopefully, you will have some time to enjoy the music and reflect on our fallen Wisconsin patriots.
