General High plains terrain including sparse short vegitation with
grass and weeds, scattered rocks, loose soil. Short walk from the
parking. A 10 cup Lock-n-Lock with camo. Please reseal.
Very nice view to the east of the plains around Cheyenne Wyoming.
This cache is located at just over 7400 feet elevation and is in
the "foothills" of the Laramie range. My wife and I drive by this
area frequently and have thought about a cache placement for some
time. We wanted a cache near to the highway exit and the old closed
1 room schoolhouse but thought it would be too near the newer and
still open school. So we put the cache down the road a mile or two.
With the small housing area springing up on the hillside to the
east we thought it would be quite a walk for kids to get to the
school. Nice views from here but not much cover for the cache.
Also this area is a bit exposed to the
infamous Wyoming winds. Please take time to fully and carefully
rehide before leaving. Take and post a
picture if you can of the views from here. Enjoy!!
