The defector, code name GTCACHER, was unfortunately
“neutralized” whilst eating his breakfast this morning
in safe house (agents responsible for protecting him are in BIG
trouble). Evidence shows that the Mole in the Canadian Security
Intelligence Service, on whom GTCACHER had earlier reported,
ordered this action.
Intelligence has discovered that the Mole, code name MJ, knows
that both he/she and their first two dead drops are under close
surveillance. MJ is willing to risk detection and possible exposure
by placing a third dead drop in order to exchange vital information
with enemy contacts. Threat may be imminent.
A. Dead drops are disguised as geocaches.
B. This dead drop, code name “The Fifth Column”, is
thought to be in the Toronto area.
C. Exact location of dead drop is unknown, but CSIS reports
intercepting an electronic communication. Text of the message is as
follows:
I’M BEADED ON OJ, JAM, MILK
I LOG CAMO IN JJ
JOIN MOM, JIM, BJ, DI
CC OL’ JACK
BOOM!
MJ
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to locate this
dead drop and begin surveillance by sending out agents acting as
“geocachers”. Under no circumstances should the dead
drop be removed as this will tip off the Mole. Further intelligence
reveals that the location around the dead drop sees some steep
elevations, so sure-footing is necessary when searching the
area.
Agents should sign logbook as normal geocachers, and take or
leave objects as deemed appropriate.
Agents should be on the lookout for clues as to the whereabouts
of other dead drops. As with “Operation CHAOS” and
“By the Book”, it is believed that such a clue is
located within this dead drop. Further cables will be forwarded to
headquarters when information on other dead drops is available.
Until then, agents should record any clues they find. Such
information should be considered classified and not shared with
others.
Once again, should you or any member of your group be caught or
killed, the Minister will disavow all knowledge of your
actions.
This message will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck.
End of message.
