Alamo Lake View Traditional Geocache
Drgnfli: About noon today - archiving this cache as we now live too far away to maintain it properly. After about 180 finds in almost 10 years it is time to shut Alamo Lake View down. It was a good spot because a few times a year we would come out here to do some cache maintenance, sit on the tailgate at the top of this hill, have lunch and enjoy the view.

Camouflaged plastic screw-on-lid type container, altitude 1,475', about 300 yds off hard road, at the top of the first hill, alongside a big wash.
Great tailgate lunch spot with a grand view! You can drive to within 30' of the cache. This is an easy one for 2WD as it is near the Alamo Lake hard road. The cache is very near park property but not on park property. An EASY find!
The cache is located on BLM land. There is no fees required for using BLM lands.
The BLM's rules for geocaching are:
