Geocache Description:

Long walk in on good track but steep climb out. Great views though!

This is the first of many caches that i intend to place that have the same theme. I love getting outdoors in the bush and especially to the old bush huts etc. This is a long walk into a very special one indeed. It used to be a private place but has recently been turned back over to Parks Vic. The walk in is on a good vehicular track but it is steep all the way. The walk in and out is about 7 kms all up and the way out is all uphill. Take your time and take a camera, water and plenty of energy. You may come across some reptilian friends in the hotter months? Please only do this one if you can respect the preservation of these old buildings and take only photos and leave only footprints.The best access to this is off the Angusvale Rd. Park at the 13km mark along the road
E 37.34.927 S 147.20.029 and take the first of the two tracks there (downhill one) you should come to a locked vehicle gate very quickly and you will know you are at the right place. The cache you will be looking for is a brown 1ltr screw lid container.
