Now you get to look up at High Rock from 1750’ below at Cora Lake.
Bring your own pen!
From Rd 84, you’ll turn right on 8420. We didn’t see a sign, so you might try N46°42.224 W121°51.754. It’s 1.5 miles up that road to the trailhead at N46°41.719 W121°53.192. The trail is a short half mile according to the guide book or 3/4 mile according to the trail sign. Either way : it’s short, not very steep, crosses the creek twice with some gorgeous little waterfalls and brings you to some views straight up to High Rock. You can either say ‘Hey, that’s where I’m going next’ or ‘Wow! That’s where I was?’
You don’t need to go off any trails to find the cache. It’s a log in a baggy tucked into the top of a big stump and covered with twigs. I’d even have a nice spoiler picture of the hide and some view shots if there hadn’t been some operator error problems with my new camera.
