Geocache Description:

This cache is on the route up to the summit of Mt. Baldy. We parked outside the gate for the Easter Seals camp on Shawnigan Lake Road at the east side of Shawnigan Lake and headed up behind the camp, across the tracks and then straight on up. At times we had to scramble and pull ourselves up rocky slopes and the return trip required a bit of bottom-sliding on the part of the people with shorter legs.

We named this cache to recognize two cachers in Victoria who both have a monkey theme... Curious George and Ickster and because we think that Peter Gabriel lyrics and song titles make wonderful cache names.

Ickster's monkey stickers are a common sight in caches around Vancouver Island and now we've put them on the background for this cache listing!

The cache is a round 4-way locking container, about 4" diameter and 6" tall. It is camo'd and hidden in amongst a family of big boulders. It contains a log book, pen, micro container, Canadian Cacher pin and lanyard, 2 for 1 Happy Meal certificate good 'till Dec 2007, a couple of hand wipes and a spare cache sticker.

Our good friends Icskter, Mimi, Kido and Whitebear were with us when we hid this cache and were our beta testers and charlie tester. You will find their names already in the logbook as testers, but the FTF is still wide open. Thanks to Ickster for using his spiffy gps to get us 3m accuracy on these coords. You can't get much better than that!

Congratulations... shawnigan hunter, SAE, Relic Hounds and Tulio
