This cache is placed on the "Green Line" in West Bridgford, a public walkway on the trackbed of the former Midland Railway Mainline from Nottingham to London. The fifth stage of "Mainline to London". The cache contains clues for the location of the final cache.
This is the same cache formally known as "Mainline to London"
The Nottingham & Melton Railway was opened in 1879 to provide a more direct link from Nottingham to London. It was closed in 1968.
The Green Line is very popular with dogwalkers and schoolchildren so take care! It can be accessed in 3 places - near the junction of Melton Rd and Rectory Rd, at the bridge over Devonshire Rd and at Boundary Rd.
