The Chomp and Stomp is an annual chili cook-off held in this fairly new park. This cache is placed to commemorate the festival. For a mere $5, you can taste all the chili you want at varying degrees of HOT. Careful what you taste! Make sure you have a drink ready!!
Cache is accessible without paying any money if you happen to show up on festival day. It's a micro, log only, so bring your own writing utensil. At times, could be muggle-heavy. If any events nearby, extreme stealth is needed, or you may have to come back. A kid-friendly brand new playground is available nearby. Also, while it's technically wheelchair accessible, there are deep ruts in the path that make it not-so. I'll update the listing when I see they've repaired the path.
If you're a runner, they now have the annual Romp & Stomp 5k held at 8am. When the festival page is created for 2007, I will update the listing with the new website.
NOTE: PARK CLOSES AT 11PM. DO NOT ENTER THE PARK AFTER 11PM. Local residents have been arrested and jailed for walking their dogs after 11PM in this park. DO NOT ENTER THE PARK AFTER 11PM. (Can you tell I'm not kidding?)
