I promised that I would place this cache container after I was given it at the Alaska Geocoin event awhile back. I finally stopped procrastinating and got it out.
The cache is a Decon container so I figured the name would be appropriate, mainly because they carry these and because it’s placed close to a military training area, also for one more reason that you will see when you find the cache.
The terrain is flat and open up till the last fifty feet or so then you need to step into the woods. Just follow the access road from the end of Klutina Dr. to the power line trail and follow it for a few hundred feet, then turn right and you will find it just inside the tree line.
Also, If you go after this cache in the winter when it's dog mushing race season, stay off the mushing trail and only cross it near the cache. And remember to look both ways and be safe.
Please be careful when removing the cache and replace it just how it was. It doesn’t have much cover and it will stand out if not placed properly.
