Geocache Description:

Grab a horse and ride the Centennial Trail.

The Centennial Trail is a well known trail in this area. It's especially popular for cyclists, runners and walkers. But did you also know that it's also designed for horses and their riders as well? Probably you did. But, where in the heck can you go with your trailer full of horses, park, unload, and then easily access the trail?

This cache brings you to that spot. There's a fair amount of space to park a truck and horse trailer, and easily turn it around, to boot. And, although I'm no expert, it looks like there's even a hitching post of some kind.

Bring a lunch, eat on the grassy knoll and enjoy the view of the nearby wetlands. Of course everyone, in addition to horse folks, is welcome here.

You should be able to reach this cache even while obeying the nearby sign. If not, then find somebody with longer arms than yours. Oh, and bring a pencil.

I shouldn't have to add this but, directly from Groundspeak's Knowledge Book: "Physical geocaches can be logged online as "Found" once the physical log has been signed." Unverifiable online "Found" logs risk being deleted without warning. So -- make sure you've made your mark!!

BTW, those are not horses in the photograph! My thanks to penquinhead for his gracious permission to use his photo taken near the cache site. (As of August 2011, most of that marvelous marsh appears to be filling in with vegetation.>
