Browns Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

wvcoalcat: Well carp. The stars never aligned where I could get this one replaced between snow storms and such. Now, I'll be unable to do any hiking for a few months.

This cache had a good 15 year run but now it's time to see what another geocacher can come up with.

Thanks to everyone that visited over the years.

Geocache Description:

Lets try this again.

The cache is placed off the fitness trail at Brown's Park located on the west end of Kingwood.

The Brown's Park property was donated to the city in 1907 and is home to one of the community playgrounds. It's also a very popular site for family reunions and church socials.

While there are no posted hours for park use, I'd advise against searching for the cache after dark. Because this is a small park, the use of flashlights will probably draw unwanted attention to yourself and more than likely, a visit from Kingwood's finest.

Please, there is nothing so spectacular about this cache that one should attempt it when a function is taking place at the pavillion (mainly the summer month weekends). I ask that you pass on by and let the people there have their non-geocaching fun. The cache'll still be there on your next trip. Thanks, I greatly appreciate it.

The cache is a three quart tupperware type container.

Update 5-29-16. Cache is now a 10"X7"X3" otterbox type container.

Update 7-8-18. Cache is still 10"X7"X3" otterbox type container.
