It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches sit disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon. If you can get it back up and running very soon contact me to get it relisted.

Geocache Description:

Located near one of the entrances at the St. Louis Zoo.

This is our first cache and is in honor of Maliha (the newest member) and the rest of the asian elephants. Cache is a small plastic jar with a log book and enough room for smashed pennies and a few small items. Needs a new small stamp.

The coordinates above will take you to Historic Hill in the St. Louis Zoo not the final cache location. To find the cache venture to the main entrance. Turn around and face the pool with the Sea Lion fountains. Theres a waterfall behind the Sea Lions, the train runs through it (kind of). Above the water fall is a viewing area that is usually void of mugglers. Go to this veiwing area and look down on the pool with the Sea Lions. You must walk over the water and down to the viewing area. This is a little known spot at the Zoo, its a nice place to stop and enjoy the view.

In the original cache there were 10 pennies. On your travels through the Zoo there are severeal places to smash a penny for a zoovenier. If your lucky you might find a penny at the virtual cache location.
