Are you old enough to remember when every Saturday morning kid’s show had a Secret Decoder Ring/Wheel/Badge that you could get for three box tops from whatever cereal they were advertising? The device would allow you to decode the “secret message” (for club members only) at the end of each show. The message was always something like “Eat your veggies,” or “Obey your parents.”
Today, you can use that decoder wheel for something much more important, like finding the coordinates of a cache. This simple substitution code can be broken using various techniques, but if I were you, I would go straight to the hint. You’ll even get a free “Secret Decoder Wheel” out of the deal, and you don’t even have to buy the cereal.
Too busy to decipher the code? Turn it over to your kids. They’ll have the coordinates for you in ten minutes or less, and they will spend the rest of the day writing secret messages to each other instead of coming to you saying, “I’m bored!”
The cache itself is easily located, and there are at least eleven caches within a three mile radius. So, come and start your next caching trip in Olalla!
