Looking for a beautiful location where you can sit by the waters edge and enjoy Hawaii?
This is the beautiful new home of the Toybox cache. There are still some shoreline areas in Keahou that are wonderfully undeveloped, and this is one of them! If you enjoy the early morning calm along the Kona shore or a beautiful sunset over the ocean, the short hike to this cache is well worth it.
Park right before the asphalt road ends, and walk on the gravel road to the left (not the one at the end of the road) until you can take the path...
If you go here for the sunset, be sure to bring a flashlight for your hike back. Be sure to wear a good pair of shoes!
WATCH OUT! FISHERMAN MUGGLES OFTEN TIMES SNEEK UP FROM THE BUSHES BEHIND YOU!!!! PLEASE COVER THIS CACHE WITH THE SAME ROCKS THAT CONCEALED IT.
Some people are reporting the coordinates are off, but the location is right on the money. This cache was placed with the help of 5 separate GPS units, and the coordinates have been confirmed many times since then. This is a site that sometimes has extremely poor SAT coverage, so wait a few minutes until you have more SATs, or print out the hint. Please do not move the cache to what you feel are the right coordinates!
