This cache is an ammo can. It is located a short distance from the highway. Please rehide to prevent muggling. Thanks
The site of this cache is a look out spot for viewing the "St Louis Ghost Train". Numerous people have seen the light of the train which used to travel the tracks here. Some say that it is the headlight of the train, while others say that they have seen the lantern light of a past conductor who was involved in an accident many years ago. It is said he is looking for his lost head beside the railway tracks. I have never seen the lights (yet), but many people over many years have seen the lights of the Ghost Train.
I have left a first to find prize of a new book "Ghost Stories of Saskatchewan" which outlines the St Louis Ghost Train on page 81. Other original contents of the cache are halloween type goodies and various cache finds.
If you are brave enough you could try this cache at night, but I would NOT try this. Best to try in the daylight, and if you are brave enough, return at night. If you see something please share your experiences with the rest of us! (Maybe even a photo!)
This is an old rail bed. The tracks were removed many years ago. If you have a truck and the road conditions are good (ie no snow or mud) you can travel down the trail along the rail bed.
If you park on the old rail bed, you do so at your own risk. Folklore dicates that you will have problems with your car, usually electrical including starting problems. You can park on the road if you prefer. Please respect the spirits that travel through here!
