This park is a story of success in the way it manages stormwater (see information board on south end of park). Here is an example of innovative thinking, engineering and authorities coming together to make it happen.
Stormwater harvesting is a hot topic, especially since the drought, as we live on the second driest continent (Antarctica is the driest). We can all use less water too.
As the geocaching community is pretty enviro-friendly anyway, I'm sure many have taken suitable steps. Saving water doesn't have to cost thousands of dollars. To find out more, contact your local council, or visit the SA Water website.
Cache is a small camoed container, originally containing a logbook, pen and money for the FTF to buy a bucket
. Very small swaps only.
