This cache is in an area with well defined walking tracks, however the last 50m has become overgrown with lantana with some thorn bushes at the cache site.
The cache is located in the Godwin Beach Environmental Reserve which forms a large triangle on the south east Toorbul Peninsular and is bounded by a rocky outcrop at Sandstone Point to the North, the tidal mudflats of northern Deception Bay to the east and south, the Pebble Beach estate to the west and Godwin Beach to the south west.
The Godwin Beach Environmental Reserve consists of 24hectares purchased through the EPA Acquisition Fund in December 2000. There is a small park nearby with covered BBQ, tables and playground.
