Français : Le village de
Fontaine de Vaucluse est l'un des plus visité de Provence grâce à
sa très impressionnante source qui jaillit au pied d'une falaise de
230 m de haut. Il a le privilège d'avoir donné son nom au
département : "Vallis Clausa" : Vallée Close : Vaucluse.
Ce circuit d’un peu plus d’une heure vous mènera au
chateau dominant le village.
Tout d’abord il faudra trouver à vous garer ! De nombreux
parkings, tous payants ( 3 € ) et de plus en plus distants au
fil de la journée. Si vous voulez stationner sans payer vous
pourrez parfois, trouver quelques places au PK1 ou PK2 (rive gauche
D24) et marcher un peu pour rejoindre le centre village. Autre
approche, arriver de très bonne heure (vers 7h) où les
encaissements ne fonctionnent pas encore.
Dans tous les cas ne rien laisser de valeur dans les véhicules. En
été prévoir eau et chapeau. Les toilettes sont aussi payantes !
(dans le village ....).
Rendez-vous au WP1 pour l’accés au sentier du Chateau.
Après votre découverte, SI LA FONTAINE EST BASSE, vous pourrez la
rejoindre par un sentier (attention aux enfants : falaises)
commençant en WP2 et faire une boucle.
Si vous n’avez pas l’information vous pouvez également
prendre le temps d’abord, de visiter la fontaine et SI
C’EST POSSIBLE remonter au chateau par le sentier de la rive
gauche (attention aux enfants : falaises).
Sinon revenir au WP1.
English:The village of
Fountain of Vaucluse is one of the most visited of Provence owings
to its very impressive source which spouts out at the bottom of a
230 m top cliff . It has the privilege to have given its name to
the department : "Vallis Clausa" : Vallée Close (Closed valley) :
Vaucluse.
This circuit of a little more than one hour will lead you to the
castle dominating the village.
First of all it will be necessary to find to park you ! Many
carparks, all paying (3 €) and increasingly distants as the
day go on. If you want to park without paying, you will be able
sometimes, to find some places at PK1 or PK2 (left bank D24) and
have to walk a bit to join the center village.
Another approach, is to arrive very soon (towards 7h) where the
cashings do not function yet.
In all the cases don’t leave any valuable in your vehicles.
In summer, don’t forget water and hat. The toilets are also
paying ! (in the village...).
Go first to WP1 for the access to the Castle path.
After your discovery, IF THE FOUNTAIN IS LOW, you will be able to
join it by a path (Care to the children: cliffs) starting at WP2
and to make a loop.
If you do not have the information you can also take time to visit
first, the fountain and IF IT IS POSSIBLE to go up to the castle by
the left bank path (Care to the children: cliffs).
If not go back to WP1.
