Geocache Description:

Cache is a traditional ammo can filled with the bugs and other Nascar-related items. There is ample parking close to the cache site. The land owner has given permission for this cache. There is a gate of sorts across the back parking lot but he said it is never closed. If, by some chance, it is closed you can park at the shopping center across the street, walk over, and still be within about 500 feet of the cache. Watch out for thorns, poison ivy, hedge apples and falling acorns!

We can’t physically make it to the Daytona race next year so we thought we’d try to get our travel bug there instead! We’ve put bugs on the cars of a few of the more popular drivers, now it’s a race to see who gets there first with this cache as the starting line. If you’re a race fan, grab (or place) your favorite driver’s car and help move it south. Watch it’s progress by tracking the bug along the way. There are several cache locations around the Daytona Speedway, we’ll settle for getting it close. Whichever travel bug car gets there first wins! There’s no prize, per se, just the satisfaction of winning. After Daytona, the goal is to get the cars to the other race tracks on the circuit—which are all over the US.
