Goldilocks and the Keebler Elves: Too Wide Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Beffums: I also failed to find it. If someone put it back in the wrong spot, then they hid it better than I could find. I'll agree with the last poster -- this one might have become a more traveled spot and so the location will be closed.

Geocache Description:

This is a continuation of the Golilock series. Beffums and japtkd along with MamaJane and MamaBird helped a crew of about 25 girls scouts from various troops in the Raintree council earn their Hi Tech Hide and Seek badge today. We also assisted them in hiding this cache for them to follow if they should decide take up geocaching. It is a typical Goldilocks cache that is located near the ball field at USI. 50 mm camoed ammocan. Please rehide as it was found.

Goldilocks has left the bears' home, and is now joining up with the Keebler Elves. They are in search of the perfect Elf home. Unfortunately, this time, the space they found was a little too wide. Goldilocks came very close to deciding this one should be dubbed "just right", but then she was convinced that this one was just a *bit* too wide open for her liking. She did, however, enjoy looking around the interesting one-room schoolhouse on her way to the hiding spot for this cache. There is no need to walk very far through the woods to find this cache - if you start your searching from near the old school house and barn, your trek should be a pleasant (but short!) walk.

All they left behind at this elf home was a 50-mm ammo can with a variety of trade items, a log book, some pencils and pencil sharpeners (please leave in cache), and a FTF prize. As this is a larger ammo can, it should provide ample space for any larger trade items or travel bugs that you need to fit in somewhere. This is another installment in our "Goldilocks and the Keebler Elves" series. Like the other caches, the goal of the cache is NOT to place an impossible to find cache. They are all in wooded areas (where else would you find an elf home?), and they all should have some clue to their hiding spot in the name.

The change with this Goldilocks cache is that there were a lot of helpers on the hide for this cache. In fact, almost 25 girl scouts helped Beffums, JAPTKD, Mama Jane, and Mamabird hide the cache. They were completing their Hi Tech Hide and Seek merit badges with the placement of this cache. So, rather than a Goldilocks cache by Beffums & Japtkd, this one is placed by the members of the Raintree Council of the Girl Scouts of America.
