Coast Live Oak is located at one of the many hilltop islands found throughout Marin County. Surrounded by homes and businesses but left mostly untouched except for dirt access roads and trails. This particular ridgeline has great views, depending on where your at along the trail, to both the east and west.
Placed a short distance off the trail, slightly downhill, once you step into tree line the air temperature instantly cools and the trees muffle extraneous sounds giving a slightly eerie, yet relaxing effect.
The cache is a plastic container about 8”tall X 4”wide placed within a camouflaged box. To open – gently tug at the bottom. Plenty of room for most travelbugs even if they don’t fit in the actual container. Coordinates were from 6 satellites.
If you continue to the other end of the ridge there is a Benchmark JT2526 next to the water tank along with the cache Palmer Revisited.
