The Buffalo Series: This is the first of series of six bison capsules. The theme of the series will be about the American buffalo. My thanks to Slowspoke for supplying the capsules.
Fact # 1: The first Bison came to North America from Asia, crossing the Bearing Straight from Siberia to Alaska. It was thought these early bison weighed up to 5000 pounds and may have had horns spanning more than 6 feet. source: The Nature Program, PBS American Buffalo: Spirit of a Nation.
