The given co-ordinates are for the start of the trail and where
you shall find the answers you need to proceed to the cache. This
can be considered an easy multi as the walk in is on good tracks.
The walk takes you over isolated high ground and through forestry -
and is one of peace and seclusion - ideal for those that enjoy this
kind of countryside.
The given co-ordinates for the trail start have good parking. In
front of you at the trail start you will see the name of whence you
are. There are two words. The number of letters in word one is A.
The number of letters in word two is B. Now look to the side of
whence you park. You will see that you are at part of the loops and
links trail. What you need is the welsh words for loops and links.
Don‘t worry. It is there for you to see. Three words. C is
the number of letters in word one. D is the number of letters in

The cache itself is near to secluded Lluest-wen reservoir and is
at about 1,400 foot ASL. From parking you will be at above 1,600
foot ASL. For this reason we highly recommend warm and in wet
conditions waterproof clothing be worn as it can be cold and
weather conditions can change very fast up here with snowy
conditions in winter - good footwear is a necessity also.
This is an interesting area as prehistoric settlements have been
found nearby with evidence of Roman and medieval military
structures; early medieval administrative boundaries and medieval
upland settlements. It was at Lluest-wen that an arrowhead dating
back to the later Neolithic (3400-2500BC) was found. The arrowhead
was 3cm (1.2 inches) long.
The cache, a one litre airtight container , is well stocked at
start with an assortment of goodies, logbook and pencil. Please
