A short walk from the parking place will lead you through two picnic areas. At the far end pass through two wooden gates and continue along the path.
There are two information boards at the two picnic areas, for this reason I will omit the history lesson from here but for interest will note that Robert Burns stayed at the farmhouse on the other side of the bridge during his Highland Tour in 1787.
PLEASE NOTE - if you decide to continue on the path down to the river only do so in good conditions. If the river is in spate this is not the place to be. You can however safely find the cache without leaving the top path.
