When vegetables needed picking, children needed tending, and washing had to be hung outside, local farm wives knew exactly where to find their spouses – at the neighborhood Farmers’ Club. This building at one time buzzed with tales of successful crops and failed crops. Many fishing yarns were exchanged and just "good ole gossip" was shared. No phone was ever installed although ice cold sodas, nabs, peanuts, and honey buns were plentiful. If you stop to search you might hear the echoes of past games of checker and horseshoes. Day time caching only, please be gentle with the surroundings.
