ON PALMER POND Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Oldboppa: On a retrieve or retire mission, I concur, the cache is no longer there. Since the beacon that inspired a winter friendly beginners cache is now a morass of rotted wood on the ground, it is time to retire this one and open the area for anyone who wants to take advantage of the many geocons that are there. It was a good run, thanks to all who searched.

Geocache Description:

The Palmer Lake trail system is perfect for biking, walking, skating, or jogging. For the kids there are a series of parks along the two and a half mile trail around what seems like a swamp. What is hard to find near the trail is a lake. I think it is just Shingle Creek stretching out and taking a rest before it continues it's way to the Mississippi in Camden.
If you park at East Palmer Park, watch your step. The geese have beeen busy.
