Geocache Description:

TRAILHEAD HERE: N42 04.396 W71 23.373
There's room for one vehicle to pull over by the utility r/o/w or you can park in the nearby church lot and walk to the trailhead. A SMALL walk to a BIG ol' box of books!

Franklin is home to the first free public library in the US. For the full story, visit my cache
Franklin Public Library-Lydia and Annie's Gift

Ben Franklin was generous with his books, I figured it was time to share some of mine. You're looking for a LARGE storage bin filled with all kinds of gently read books for adults and children to enjoy. If you see something you like, please take it - swapping is not required. Because the bin is so BIG, the logbook is in a small plastic container inside (so it won't get lost in the shuffle.) If you'd like to swap swag or drop a TB you can place that in with the logbook.

Currently stocked with: Paperback Thrillers, Camping/Oudoors, How-to, Cookbooks, Self-help, Childrens, and more...

The r/o/w is fairly overgrown in one spot, just hop the rockpile and follow the stone wall. Cache location was chosen for convenience; hoping for repeat visits from bibliophile cachers and its proximity to my home will make it easy for me to maintain + supply with fresh selections

Interesting tidbit: RIF (Reading Is FUNdamental) celebrates its 40th birthday today, 3 November 2006. Anyone remember the Public Service Announcements and bookmobiles back in the day? Check out those retro PSA's and all kinds of cool reading stuff on their website!
