Geocache Description:

The cache is situated on the out skirts of St Helier.

Note this cache has poor GPS recpetion. You'll find the clue helpful :-).

On the edge of St Helier, this park was once part of a private family residence. In 1937 the land was purchased by T B Davis for £25,000 who had it re-landscaped in memory of his son, Howard Leopold, who was killed during the Battle of the Somme in 1916.

Then, in 1939, T B Davis presented it to the island of Jersey and the park was opened with a statue of Davis’s friend, King George V, erected near the main gates.

The park has colourful trees and plants throughout the year. Highlights include a graceful lawn with a backdrop of trees, and attractive walled-in rose gardens. There is also a bandstand and a World War II memorial cemetery.

Please bring a pen to sign the log book.
