Geocache Description:

Located in Cathedral Rock Park. This is one of the new creekway parks in the city. The creek in this park is Culebra Creek. Less than a mile down stream, the creek joins with Leon Creek and forms the popular Devils Den area (an area used for biking and hiking, tho off roading is difficult now an most access has been blocked by the city). Another mile beyond that Huebner creek joins the fun. In hard rains this area is one spot to stay away from.

The Fox News Cache may have gotten you into the park, now this cache and another will get you to explore the park as it is on the other side of the creek from the parking. There is an easy way to the cache if you find the path. To find the path cross the creek and follow the road upstream until you see a path moving into the woods.

The cache is at the end of the path near a culvert. There are dogs from a nearby neighborhood barking every time I go to this location. There is one point on the path that moves very close to the creek and is about a 40 foot drop! Hold onto your kids! If you don't find the path (and enjoy your walk in the park) you will find access to the cache is impossible! So try to find the path and explore the park. Enjoy the walk!

I visited this site 3 times and averaged the waypoints because they were up to 30 feet different on each visit. The location is an average of these visits. There are trees to give your GPS unit a distraction.
