Geocache Description:

At a lookout on the side of the road looking over the Bega Valley near the top of the Brown Mountain.

This cache is named after the lookout on the Brown Mountain that is in turn named after Fred Piper a long serving bus driver who made the trip between Cooma and Bega. He made this trip 6 days a week for 28 years up to 15th August 1947. On that day aged 55 he collapsed and died near here while shovelling snow from the road.
