SHASTA DAM!!
Need to park at cords, N 40 42.271 W 122 25.253. Cross the road and head up the dirt road. Walk is 1/4 mile uphill.

SHASTA DAM is 602 ft high and 3,460 ft long. Was built between 1938 and 1945. SHASTA DAM is higher than the Washington Monument and it's spillway is three times the height of Niagara Falls. SHASTA DAM contains enough concrete to build a sidewalk 3 feet wide, 4 inches thick around the world at the Equator.
