Geocache Description:

This is a multi-cache in Traceway Park in Clinton, MS. Original container was custom camo'd quart-sized paint can we won at a local geocaching event; replaced with camo'd lock-n-lock.

Clinton is very fortunate to be home to great recreational facilities like this park. Several children's and adult leagues call this park home, including several championship Dizzy Dean teams over the years. The first-stage coordinates bring you to several signs placed in honor of championship teams over the years... sort of an outdoor "wall of champions", if you will. These champions will help you solve the very easy questions for the final stage coordinates. The final stage is located within view of the Natchez Trace (especially in wintertime), but it is within the marked boundaries of Traceway Park.

Final stage coordinates are:
32 degrees AF.BCD 090 degrees E.BGH

A = Pettis jersey number on 2009 6-yr old State Champ sign
B = Total # coaches on 2009 6-yr old State Champ sign
C = Total # players on 2008 6-yr old Stars sign, minus 2D = Number of players that have jersey number painted on the 2008 8-yr old State Dizzy Dean Champ sign
E = Number of names, including coaches, 2007 Dizzy Dean 7-yr old MS State Champ sign + 2
F = Cox's jersey number on 2009 6-yr old State Champ sign
G = Age of 2007 champ players on Richburg team
H = number of coaches listed on 2008 Dizzy Dean 8 year old champ sign
From the 1st stage, you'll make a short walk/drive to the final coordinates. One interesting side note.. when we got ready to place the final container, we dug out 3 or 4 baseballs from this little cubby hole... evidently someone or something was storing them up for a rainy day (or winter). It gave us a tickle to think what sort of critter might have been hoarding those baseballs!

The board listing park rules says it is open till 10pm nightly. Stealth may be required if there are lots of baseball games going on. Enjoy the hunt and enjoy the park!

There is a small FTF $ prize, and a set of unactivated TB's for the STF... third finders and those coming later just get the satisfaction of a job well done... and another smiley face! :-)
