PurplePenguin: I checked up on this one and it has indeed disappeared. The original hiding area is still there but the condition of the wall has deteriorated in the last 14 years and I couldn't see anywhere else obvious to hide it, so I am archiving this cache.

Geocache Description:

A short uphill walk to a spot with a lovely view.

The parish church at West Bagborough is dedicated to St Pancras, which always makes me think of railway stations. The path from the church to the cache looks as though it could once have been a railway branch line, complete with a platform height wall along one edge of it. The cache should be accessible with a buggy, although it might be a bit muddy after heavy rain. On-street parking for 3 cars is available just outside the path up to the church. Additional parking is available 150 metres further south east, where the road widens out.

The cache can be accessed without leaving the footpath. Stealth may be required if there are muggles sitting on the nearby seats admiring the view. I always like caches with seats nearby, so I can write in the logbook in comfort and this spot also has a lovely view over the valley and up towards the Brendon Hills.

The cache is situated on the Southern Quantock Greenway Route, so if you would like a longer walk, the whole circuit is 18 miles. More information on the Quantock Greenway can be found at (visit link)

The church has some interesting and very old carved wooden bench ends. and there are lots of snowdrops in the churchyard in early spring.
