Geocache Description:


Since moving to Georgia from North Carolina three years ago we've made good use of the many benefits of Atlanta's southside, including proximity to family, a great geocaching community, and SEC football!

This cache/letterbox is dedicated to our favorite football team, and the place where Mom & Dad met for the first time.

Use the posted coordinates as a good parking place. From this point start walking up the path due north until you run into the largest golf ball in Coweta county. Here you'll find a key in a likely container near the check mark. Take the key with you as you'll need it in a minute.

Now stand at the southernmost point of the golf ball and walk on a bearing of 225 degrees for some number of feet. How many feet? Look at the key - the number is stamped onto it. You'll know you're on the right heading if you pass a huge Spanish Bayonette bush at approximately 2/3 of the total distance. You'll find the cache very near a large multi-trunked privet bush. Sign the log, stamp your book, and leave everything just as you found it. Please return the key to its rightful place near the check mark before leaving the area.

NOTE: This is a letterbox hybrid, and letterboxers will be visiting as well. DO NOT TAKE the stamp or stamp pad, as this would make the cache useless as a letterbox if they're missing. If you absolutely must have a stamp like this call me & we'll make arrangements. Just don't take the one in the cache!
