BRIMS closed a few years ago and I just let nature take it's course with this cache. I received an email with the log saying something about a new business here. I went by introduced myself and told them about the cache and they already knew about and in fact one of the owners had found it as a cacher. I was going to archive it and place a new one here, then I got to thinking that this is one of Bowling Green's oldest caches and there is a lot of geo-history associated with this building, Bowling Green's first geo-event was held on the very spot the cache is and a geo-club was formed (Lost River Cachers) inside the building. I decided to to leave part of the BRIMS cache history while using the new business at the same time. Below is the desription of the old BRIMS cache. BTW the new owners are way nice people. BRIMS opened in 1994 with only 20 exhibits. Today it has nearly 50 unique hands-on exhibits for all ages. All displays feature a "What To Do" and "What's Going On" explanation to help visitors learn and understand exhibits. Tour guides are on hand to explain displays and answer questions, however patrons are encouraged to also explore and discover on their own. There is a small admission charge. $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for children. There are two free admission tickets for the FTF. The cache is on the outside of the building so a cacher can log it without paying admission. Hours of operation are Thursday-Saturday 10:00a.m.-3:00p.m. Sunday 1:00p.m.-4:00p.m. This place is great for children on a rainy day or any other day. It is also interesting for those of us who are children at heart. Due to a power line near the cache my gps would not get a good fix but with the decrypt it should be no problem.
